Born in Vancouver in 1963, Charlene is an Airforce brat who has lived in several provinces. She graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College in 1984 as an Early Childhood Educator and has worked in several different childcare settings including Junior Kindergarten, home daycare, inclusive daycare and, currently, inclusive nursery school. Charlene is the Director of Lower Sackville Nursery School, located in Knox United Church. She has a special talent for working with children having special needs and their families.

Charlene is a founding member of the Sackville Community Band and plays the flute in this band. She has also worked hard to establish a band for youth ages 12-21 and a marching band which premiered in the Sackville Patriot Days Parade winning best band entry. In her spare time, Charlene is an avid gardener and enjoys wine-making.

Charlene has lived in Sackville with her husband Wes and children, Andrew and Rachel, since 1994, She considers Sackville her hometown and works hard to improve Sackville for everyone.
